Dr. Lamar Hylton is our new Dean of Students at Kent State University! Previously he served as Assistant Vice Provost for Student Life in the Office for Student Affairs at the University of Minnesota –Twin Cities.
In his current role, he provides leadership for administering, monitoring, and assessing student engagement efforts and supervises several functional areas including Center for Student Involvement, Office of Student Conduct, International Student Affairs, and University Health Services.
He also represents Student Affairs on several institutional committees and work groups. Dr. Hylton also serves on the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) 2017 Multicultural Institute Steering Committee and volunteers on the African-American Knowledge Community Leadership Team.
Dr. Hylton, in his short few months at Kent State, has shown so much blue and gold pride. We are thrilled to have him speak and share his knowledge and pride at the NEOHO RA Conference!
